In the far future, humanity has spread throughout the universe, settling on planets and creating outposts on the edge of known space. Nebula-9, one such outpost, turned into the center of an unfathomable threat: an extraterrestrial invasion of unimaginable proportions. The elite intergalactic army known as the Iron Marines, who were called upon to protect human interests and drive back the invading alien armies, were famous for their fighting prowess and strategic acumen.
With innumerable fights under his belt, Commander Alex Mercer was given the difficult assignment of leading the Iron Marines against the Xel’Naga, the unrelenting invaders. These extraterrestrials were hungry for new worlds to conquer and had access to cutting edge technology. Mission in IRON MARINES INVASION
The main goal is to infiltrate Outpost Sigma-7 and rescue any personnel that are still alive. Find and lead engineers, scientists, and military personnel to safety.
Hold the Line (Main Objective): Until all survivors are evacuated, take up defensive positions inside the outpost and repel waves of Xel’Naga attackers. Utilize the automated defenses of the outpost and strategically place Iron Marines to optimize one’s capacity for defense.
Secure Resources (Secondary Objective): The Iron Marines’ military effort depends on the resources found in Outpost Sigma-7. To strengthen your forces and open up more support choices, locate and secure resource caches strategically placed across the outpost.
The secondary objective is to eliminate the Xel’Naga Commanders, as intelligence indicates that they are spearheading the attack at Outpost Sigma-7. Find these valuable targets and take them out to break the enemy’s chain of command.
Create Forward Base (Main Objective): After the outpost is safe, create a forward operating base so that you can counterattack the Xel’Naga. Construct resource-gathering buildings and fortify defensive positions.
