The Modern Day:
We return to Desmond Miles, our modern-day protagonist, who is still imprisoned by Abstergo Industries (the Templars).
Forced back inside the Animus, Desmond recalls his ancestor, Ezio Auditore da Firenze.
The Renaissance (1499–1507):
Ezio Auditore, the charming assassin from Assassin’s Creed II, returns as the protagonist.
Devastated by the Borgia family’s destruction of his home, Monteriggioni, Ezio seeks revenge.
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood His voyage takes him to Rome, the seat of Borgia power, where he intends to free the city and overthrow their rule.
The “Brotherhood” system is a crucial feature introduced in Brotherhood. Here, Ezio can recruit more Assassins and rebuild The Assassin Order exists within Rome.
New gameplay features:
New moves like ziplining and operating flying devices improve Ezio’s free-running abilities.
Upgraded hidden blades and additional weapons, like as throwing knives, broaden his battle arsenal.
Brotherhood adds a new dimension – multiplayer. Players assume the roles of Templar recruits, battling it out in historical locales.

Trying to understand the Assassin’s Creed series’ overarching narrative and how it all connects is both intimidating and difficult. We will make the process as painless as possible. If you’ve never played an Assassin’s Creed game and want to get into the franchise, here’s the plot so far.
For the purposes of this article, we will only discuss the main Assassin’s Creed games. The series has some of the best Xbox games in my opinion, but it also contains some duds. The franchise contains multiple long-running comic series and spin-off games that continue the meta-narrative; nonetheless, it’s impossible to expect everyone to go out and buy all of them, despite Ubisoft weirdly tied key storylines outside of the games, which we’ll quickly discuss in the modern-day part.

Conclusion.
We all know that Assassin’s Creed’s current tale can only go one way. The Templars are too powerful, representing the world’s politicians, billionaires, corporate titans, and so on. There is nothing the Assassins can fairly do to turn this into a “good guys win!” scenario.
Given this, and how recently the games have leaned heavily on fan service with references of Ezio, Desmond, and other allusions to previous entries, I created a theory for the franchise’s terrible, but not wholly unlikely, conclusion. I call it “Endgame Theory”:
